People Won't Notice...

I was giving a live interview for an online video marketing group when I was hit with a weird question...while I was explaining the hard work and grind it takes to get a company off the ground, someone in the chat room said, "It's easy for you to say sitting in that chair because we are just starting up."

I was speechless for a second because this is EXACTLY what I did. How do you think I got in this chair? How do you think I am able to speak from experience of the dos and don'ts of growing a Digital Marketing company.

While people aren't paying attention, they do not notice the late nights, the early mornings, the failures, self-doubt, the risks taken, the money invested etc.. To get hit with that statement, " Its easy to say from your chair" made me realize the work I did put in to be here.

There is a real thing a business coach once told me, and its called "The Dark Days of the Soul." It's the nights where you stare at the ceiling wondering how you are going to obtain clients. How are you going to make a substantial living and pay your bills, feed your family etc.?

The truth of the matter is that fear is what drives you. The dark days become fewer and far between with each successful step. Do not stop until you are completely impressed with your accomplishments. Then, and only then will people start to notice.
